Greetings GP Parents:
I hope your summer is going well so far. The Glendale Prep Parent Organization has been hard at work gearing up for an exciting second year for the Glendale Preparatory Academy community. We still have much to accomplish as the year starts up and we need your help.
The First PO Meeting
Please join us at our first PO Meeting of the year, this Thursday, July 23rd at 7:00pm at the school campus.
We will be meeting in room 17 (in the new building) and will have refreshments available. Come help us finalize plans for the year and also get involved in one of the many opportunities as a committee chair or an always valued volunteer. There are opportunities to help right away. This is an excellent way to meet other families before the year starts as well as being informed of upcoming events. See the attached agenda.
The Bookstore
The Bookstore Committee needs volunteers to help bundle textbooks into sets for each of the students. We also need help putting together the ‘Welcome Packets’ that will be given out to all families. The Bundling party will take place on Wednesday, July 29th from 8:30am until we are finished. (There’s a lot of work to be done on this day so… the more the merrier).
The Bookstore will be open Saturday, August 1st from 8:30am – 12:30pm and Wednesday, August 5th from 11am – 6pm. We will need volunteers on these days as well to greet parents, hand out book sets & generally help things run smoothly.
If you are able to help on any of these days (even for just a bit), it would be a greatly appreciated. Contact Jeni Garcia if you want to lend a hand at bookkeeper@glendalepreppo.com.
The Griffin Greet
On Friday, August 7, from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., the Parent Organization will host the Griffin Greet – a back-to-school social offering students the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. The event will be held on campus and lunch will be served to those who wish to order it. An order form has been attached.
