Glendale Griffin happenings
The week of November 23

Tax Credit Campaign & Prize Program: The Glendale Prep Tax Credit Campaign is now in full swing.  By now you should have received a letter and donation form from the school explaining the program.  Remember, every dollar you give (up to $400) is refunded 100% on your tax return and you can even allocate which sport or extracurricular program you want your money to go toward.
This year, we are also going to offer incentives for recruiting family and friends to also donate their Tax Credit to Glendale Prep.  Please see the attached Tax Credit Prize Program flyer for details. We have also attached an additional Tax Credit Form to have on hand.

Booster Booth: Booster items and Gift Cards will be sold at our Booster Booth tomorrow, November 25 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.  Our Monthly Featured Booster Item is our 16oz Stainless Steel Insulated Coffee Mug with the school crest in Navy.  These are great to use in the car to enjoy a hot beverage.  As our featured item, these mugs are on sale for $8.00 each (a savings of $2.00).  Get yours tomorrow and show your school spirit!

Butter Braids: Anybody looking for some warm, ready-in-a-moment pastry for the holidays?  Look no further.  Butter Braids will be on campus tomorrow to offer samples and details of their product tomorrow.  Please see the attached flyer for more information.  Order forms were distributed to students today at lunch and are due by Thursday, December 3rd.

Snowstorm: It is here!  This year’s blizzard is blowing in.  The Snowstorm program is a great way to show the teachers and staff at Glendale Prep our appreciation for the great job they do each day.  Each year, instead of giving teachers a random assortment of individual gifts, we ask families to donate money to the Snowstorm program.  All monies received will be divided up and given directly to the teachers as a wonderful “Winter Bonus.”  See the attached flyer for more information.

Scrip Orders: This is a great time to order Gift Cards for the holidays.  They make a great thank you to those special people in your life.  You can stay on budget by purchasing these for yourself as well to use for your holiday shopping.  If you place an order prior to November 25th, you will receive your Scrip cards by Friday December 4th.

Restaurant Night:
The winner of the Pizza party from our Restaurant Night at Dillon’s was the 6th grade – WAY TO GO.  Thank you to all the families who put Dillion’s on their menu for the evening.

PO Meeting: Thursday, December 3rd – 7 p.m. in Room 15. This will be our last meeting of 2009.  We will be taking nominations for the open positions on the Executive Committee of Vice President and Secretary.  Come and be a part of this process and find out how you can get involved in the New Year.

Happy Thanksgiving,
Kendra Gould

Get your insulated GP travel mug so you can sip a hot beverage as you drop students off in the chilly air. We also have some of the Scrip cards available for immediate purchase. These make great stocking stuffers, a thank you in a card for all those people on your list, or even a way to stay within your holiday budget.
